Seminar Effective Use of Information Technology was the first event he worked directly for the GPX, but that's not the only thing that happened for the first time - the first time to ask more questions than seminar offering solutions. He made the session interesting cloud provides a starting point for organizations who want to work differently, but in practice how they could move past the red tape to a new way here to work?
As anyone who knows events, they can be costly things. We had already held events in North and South Wales, and we wanted to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to have their questions answered.
The session will look at cloud computing, more specific than the seminar topic Information Technology, and therefore would not run as long. We decided to hold a webinar, and luckily it was a good fit 'good subject, it must be on cloud. This was a new approach for everyone, yet exciting prospect for us all.
As the pilot webinar event, we decided to keep it on a small scale with 20 attendees. The presentations themselves are excellent, with Evan Jones, the Welsh Government will focus on issues Cloud Computing, and Peter Middleton Cabinet Office will discuss the merits of G-Cloud. One of the advantages of the system we chose was that we could get video of webinar, and you can see parts of it above and below.
We have a copy of the webinar audio also, so we cut this down to a small podcasts on Audioboo, so people can identify those involved avery scales and their issues are fast.
Perhaps it's not surprising that there are things we would change if we were to have the opportunity again, the webinar is a pilot. avery scales Having several laptop in the same room means that there are several microphone, and he did it create an echo of the sound for the first half-minute webinar. In retrospect, it is clear we have avoided this if the presenters and facilitators have sat in rooms separate.
There's also elements I would like to develop in the future. I did not want to get too ahead on our first attempt, but certainly we would like to encourage interaction on social media to reach more participants and resolve broader issues. The question and answer session means that we can address the concerns of people directly, avery scales so it would be great to elaborate on the potential of using hashnod.
On the whole the webinar has given us a lot to think about. It does not provide the same potential to network, share ideas and solutions and to attend the event in person, but it did allow us to look at the subject in detail in a way that is convenient for participants. It's not the answer to every difficulty, avery scales but it is another tool we can use to share information and improve public services in Wales.
