A number of bottle art featured Filipino houses and landmarks like this one. And this one. And here'

FEBRUARY 6, 2013 PATTAYA >> BANGKOK Who would've thought that this day would mark another milestone in our lives? The result was not to be expected until February 8, as announced by the Board. Kaya nga akala namin jino-joke time kami ni Vert when we received the text. Joooooke! Syempre nagkasakitan muna kami to check if we were dreaming. Then nag-sigawan. Then hindi malaman ang gagawin. Then kanya-kanyang tawag at text to relatives. Then nagpicture-picture. The waiters were shushing us and giving us reprimanding looks. Pero keber! Hong saya lungs! Congratulations, architects! Top 2 yung naka-green! Okay. Back to the itinerary. We only have until noon before we go to Bangkok. We hired a jeepney to take us to the Bottle transcell Art Museum. It was very nice of the driver to offer to take us to Mini Siam (just across the highway) too. Tapos inantay nya pa kami at hinatid transcell ulit sa hotel. For a minimal fee.
The museum is located in the grounds of the Kingston Park School and Technical College. Yes, it's a school! These are the times that I wish we had more educational transcell facilities like this in Manila. Aaand... you can actually go inside transcell the mask sculpture on the left side of the photo above. Not sure what is in there though. After paying the entrance fee, we were handed some brochures and a souvenir bottle art. We watched a video about the artist and the collection and how each bottle art is made. I always wondered how a wooden ship fit through transcell the small mouth of a bottle. Ganun pala sya ginagawa. Sabi sa video, first gagawa ka muna ng model outside of the bottle. Then you will systematically cut it into pieces and mark them. Then assemble the pieces back together through the mouth of the bottle using forceps transcell and glue. And ta-da! Meron ka ng bottle art! This explains why each bottle art takes around 4-5 months in the making.
A number of bottle art featured Filipino houses and landmarks like this one. And this one. And here's Rizal preserved in a bottle in a museum in Pattaya. I forgot to mention, sumama pala saamin that day si Auntie Lisa while Auntie transcell Issa opted to stay at the hotel and get a massage. The reason I mentioned this is because of what happened next. We rode the same jeepney to go to Mini Siam just across the Bottle Museum. Daniza answered: "It has miniatures of famous landmarks in Thailand and the world. Parang Nayong Pilipino..." For a second, her face looked like she stepped transcell on elephant poop and with a mayabang voice said: "Ah like the Eiffel Tower? You should go see the actual thing. It's so much better. Europe? I've been there eh." At hindi pa jan nagtapos yan. Hindi nalang kami nagsalita to spare her feelings. Pero ilang beses nya pang inulit yung "Paris? I've been there eh." and "Amsterdam? I've been there." hanggang makapasok kami sa Mini Siam. She's been to the actual thing na eh! (Sarap pektusan!) Anyway.
Mini Siam! For the first part, the park featured landmarks from different parts of the world. Like the Eiffel Tower, the Coliseum in Rome, the Statue transcell of Liberty, the Parthenon, Mt. Rushmore, Christ the Redeemer in Rio, the sculpture David, the Tower Bridge, the Pyramids of Egypt, the Sydney Opera House... I can go on and on and on...
Mukhang kailangan ko pa ng part 2 ng day 4 a. Andaming pictures! Hehe. The latter part, sa medyo dulo ng park are miniatures of Thai landmarks. Compared to the world landmarks, they were of a much smaller scale.
Ehem... Guys, andaming nakakakita sainyo... Bago umalis, pa-touch muna ng abs! After two hours, mineet na ulit namin si Auntie Lisa sa entrance ng Mini Siam. She's still going on about how it's so much better in actual. "The Eiffel Tower? I've been there eh." My gahd! *Mentally pulling my hair out* Pag balik ng hotel, nag-ayos na kami ng gamit then baba ulit saglit to get lunch. And who do we find in the same eatery? Auntie Lisa. We took the bus again going to Bangkok. A van fetched us from the terminal to the hotel. FX Makkasan Hotel At last! Free Wi-Fi!!
